I. What is the Brothers of St John 2020 Boys’ Camp?

The Boys’ Camp is a Catholic camp geared to the adventurous spirit of a boy. The boys will camp on the grounds of the Brothers of St. John in Princeville, Illinois.

The boys will be kept physically active with hiking, games, a treasure hunt, and more.

Of course, the summit of the experience will be the Holy Eucharist. The boys will be kept spiritually active with daily Mass, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, and daily teachings by the Brothers of St. John. Thus, it is important that your sons WANT to come!

II. What is the Schedule for the Boys’ Camp ?

Boys will arrive before 7 p.m. on Wednesday, and set up tents.

Mass will be held at 11:15 a.m. on Sunday. All family members are welcome. A potluck will follow Mass. The Boys’ Camp will conclude at 2 p.m.

Parents will receive a more thorough schedule following registration.

III. What do the boys need to bring ?

Tents: The organization will not be providing tents. Whether shared or alone,  each boy needs access to a good, water-tight tent (it usually rains).  While there will be some help, at least one boy per tent should be able  to put up the tent. If you have a tent that will fit more than your own  son (or sons), please let us know so that we can offer space to other  boys.

Other items to bring:  Sleeping bag, ridge rest sleeping pad,  pillow, flashlight, swimsuit, clothes for the week (underwear, shorts,  shirts, sweatshirt, jeans, outdoor pants etc.),small backpack, Bible, rosary, Bottle of  water, and a towel. 

Optional items:  camera, bug spray, and sunscreen.

Items Not Permitted: electronics such as cellphones or gaming devices

Please remember to pack light.

IV. What do we need ?
